Saturday - September 30, 2006Weather: Glorious!
We meet in the parking lot of the Columbia Airport to meet the bus that will drive us to Atlanta. After suffering the indignities now known as "airport security" we finally board our Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt.
There must be some mistake. Our tickets are stamped "economy" and three times at that, to add insult to injury. Thank God it isn't in red.
John and look at each other after an unsatisfying luncheon on board, surrounded by the common folk (off to God knows where) and bemoan the lack of glamour once known to air travel. No bellmen, no skycaps, no "boys" anywhere.
